Billy D has been performing for over 35 years, as a singer, musician, and dancer. Besides singing, he is also a superb drummer, and his well-rounded muscianship extends to many other instruments as well, including sax, guitar, bass, piano, trombone, and concert bass.

He has also been a professional dancer and choreographer, and has performed with Anita Baker, the Cadillacs, and the Four Tops.

Billy D and the Rock-its was formed as a result of his lifelong passion for Doo Wop music and the 50’s era in general, and name of the group was inspired by his baby blue 1955 Oldsmobile Rocket Super 88.
